Oh back in the year of twenty thousand and eighteen, a band called Bitch Falcon gathered all their released material to date and stuck it on an ol' 12" piece of wax and called it music. Fast forward to Neo-Normal times in 2020 and the band, after having cancelled scores of performances since September 2019, had to make the difficult decision to abandon their beloved rehearsal studio because as we all know, there always isn't money in the music stand...
While wailing and screaming through the packing up and moving of their unnecessarily large backline (there's only 3 of them ffs), they discovered a small, brown box. Immediately, they knew these were 25 of the original pressing of their only, physical music that lay forgotten amongst their broken equipment and shattered dreams, for nearly 2 years.
These most precious of musical wax were among a batch held back from the original 300 pressed in Dublin by Dublin Vinyl Company in 2018 as a precautionary measure in case any got missing or damaged in the post. They were one of the first vinyl records to pressed in Dublin in over 3 millennia. They sold out the same year they were pressed and some have traded on Discogs for as much as 5 bitcoin since then. Now, for one day only, these lost records will be publicly traded on Bandcamp at their original price. Yes, many of the labels are a little wonky because they were put on by hand while drinking cans but it really does add to the charm and it's very hypnotising while it spins. You'll LOVE it!
In all seriousness though, once they're gone, they're gone.

Not far from here, there’s a man of heart,
He knows to rest but he can’t wake up,
I know, I know, I know it
Not hard to see you the one who cares,
Just so I know which way I’m brought up
I know I know I know it
Not far from here you went another home,
This one you don’t quite know as home yet
I know I’ll stay here for you
It’s not hard to see you the one in charge
Just so you don’t go on and fall apart
I know, i know i know it
Put the piece of gold in the silver pot
Just so you don’t go and spend all
I know ill save it for you
And all the while
I see right in your eyes a glimpse of who you are
I know that in your head you can’t control the world
I know you’ll wanna change your mind, so many times
I’ve seen it all before me, better see enough again

Bitch Falcon; a name you won't forget and a band who won't let you forget them. This trio from the vibrant, much-hyped music
scene of Dublin was formed by front-woman Lizzie Fitzpatrick with her friends in a small kitchen in the city in 2014. Since these freshman days, the lineup has galvanised around the rhythm section of Barry O'Sullivan on Bass and Nigel Kenny on Drums....more
